The first of my illustrations not to feature a dinosaur. I felt it important, however, to render certain elements of the story that my readers might have difficulty imagining. The cauldron was one of them. Its size is particularly open to confusion. As you can see from this illustration, it is quite large. Divaro’s twice-dead body is being lowered into it, with plenty of room to spare. It appears to be shining gold, though it is not actually made of gold. Its sides are decorated with a series of alternating spirals called a triskelion.
