The Spiral Stair

Set in an ancient abandoned temple, this illustration affords me the best chance to depict the mythological and religious depictions my characters might have in a world populated with such breath-taking animals. This mysterious seated figure was deliberately based on the depictions of Gaṇeśa, one of the most beloved gods in the Hindu pantheon, usually depicted with an elephant’s head. Here, he has a ceratopian head, likely a triceratops.

Also in the image are Evran and the first depiction of Ivanno in his more monstrous shape, though his back is toward us. Nolo is making his forth appearance, and it will not be his last.
