In speculating about what life with dinosaurs would be like, it’s easy to imagine the tyrannosaurus and velociraptors that stalk the woods and pose ever-present danger, but what about the more domestic uses. I’ve tried to fill my novels not just with wild dinosaurs, but varieties closer to home, animals that would certainly have greatly altered life, making the impossible possible, or at least more interesting. This is the equivelant of a dinosaur taxi—actually a mail truck, commandeered and turned into a battle tank. It's called an edmontonia and with massive spikes on either side and armor plates down its back, it even looks like a tank. It wasn’t much larger than an elephant, perhaps even smaller, but was perfectly built to charge through enemy battle lines, with or without passengers.

The trees in the background are autumnal gingko trees, which still exist today. The nuts are supposed to be very good for you.
