Divaro the Terrible

Enter our villain. For years I have imagined a villain made of nothing but bones, not like you see in zombie films or other horror stories, but a real character, who talks to us, has a name and takes part in our story. Divaro provided the perfect opportunity to see what it would be like for a character made of nothing but bones to live an artificial life. You will notice that his bones, even his skull, are bolted together with iron, since all his sinew and muscle has long since ceased to move or attach to anything.

His steed, skeletal like himself, is a stygimoloch, which recent research suggests might be the same species as the famously tongue-twisting pachycephalosaurus, and the smaller draconis, which derives its scientific name from the school in the Harry Potter novels. One dinosaur in this story had to be nothing but a skeleton, and this one, about the right size and featuring an array of knobs and spikes on its sinister head, was the perfect choice.
