The Game of Chance
I passed on an image of King Orano in the second book, opposite his brother as they rolled their dice across a crowded table. I’m glad I did, as it allowed me to show the rematch, which in my opinion, evokes much greater tension with only two spectators and a vast empy, lamp-lit room. We get to see Siro as a tiny fellow, and Lara in her invisible state, as well as a better view of Nolo, all grown up now. It is also the first opportunity to show Tovar, who became one of my favorite characters.
